Brig. Gen. Md. Abdul Hakim Aziz (Retd.)

Brig Gen Md Abdul Hakim Aziz, psc, MDS, MBA (Finance) (retd) comes of a noble respectable Muslim family of Comilla. His parent sent him to the best schools of his home town for initial grooming up. He passed his Secondary and Higher Secondary certificate examination from Residential Model School (now Comilla Cadet College). He was the College Captain of the school and contributed a great deal in administering the day to day student affairs. Subsequently after joining in the Army he pursued his education and earned his graduation from Chittagong University, Masters in Business Administration from Dhaka University (Major in Finance) and Masters in Defense Studies from National University.He Joined the Army in 1979 and got his commission in the year December 1980 in the Corps of Infantry. He served in the army for 32 years in different capacities. He served in five Infantry regiments, Commanded 3 Infantry Battalion, 2 Infantry Brigade and led an UN Contingent in Ivory Coast for a Peacekeeping Mission. During his career he spent a good amount time in Operational duties at Battalion, Brigade and Division level; instructors in Bangladesh Military Academy, Bhatiary, Chittagong and School of Infantry & Tactics, Jalalabad Cantonment Sylhet. He was Brigade Major in an Operational Brigade in Chittagong Hill Tracts and Grade 1 Operational Staff Officer in largest Infantry Division of Bangladesh Army. As one of the pioneer members of the peace keeping team who were sent to UN Peace Keeping mission, he served as a Sector Operation Officer in UNIIMOG at Northern Iraq from 1989 to 1990.
He underwent number of courses at home and abroad. Went for training and seminar in India, Sweden and Japan. Apart from his duties, he was deeply involved in managing and governing number of Cantonment Public Schools and Colleges in Bangladesh Army during his past career. He was Member Secretary of Rangamati Lakers Public School; Chairman, Chittagong Cantonment International School; Chairman Adamji Cantonment Public School, Dhaka; Chairman Jalalabad Cantonment Public School & College, Sylhet and Chairman, Jalalabad Cantonment Board High School, Sylhet. He ended his military career after serving as Commandant of School of Infantry and Tactics, Jalalbad Sylhet.
Currently he is the CEO of a multinational Joint venture security company namely Millennium Certis Security Bangladesh Limited based in Dhaka.
He is an enthusiastic learner who loves reading on wide range of subjects. He occasionally writes in Daily Star.

A seasoned and successful leader with a track record of 28 years military service acquired vast knowledge and experience on Safety & Security, Administration, Operation, Leadership, HR, Logistics and Management including Nation Building. Served as various level of Command and Staff appointment both inside and outside the country. A successful graduate of Staff College (psc) from Mirpur, Masters in Defense Studies (MDS) from National University and Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from American International University of Bangladesh (AIUB). Highly motivated with a proven ability in converting every opportunity into success. Conducted many Security Assessment and Analysis also implemented security measures as Safety & Security officer. Have significant experience in Security Procedure and Program development, regulatory compliance, threat and vulnerability assessment, recruitment & training, equipment testing and verification.Outstanding leadership and senior- level experience in tactical planning, execution, and operating management coordinating between multiple agencies in successful progressive, and concurrent civilian and military careers. Manage, design and develop specialized training to guide security officers and others through security management and action including number of security survey. Competent in directing the implementation and maintenance of security technology including data and communication network as well as managing resources. Effective management, supervisory and motivation skill – able to maintain a positive work environment, command respect and accomplish task as priority. Proficient communication skill – verbal, writing, listening and negotiating. Strong work ethics, safety conscious, visionary, dependable, efficient, flexible, high performer, effective time management, organized, resourceful, team player and excellent judgment skill. Promote trust and confidence in the public through leadership and example. Capability in supervising financial activities and implementing marketing activities Comprehensive knowledge on access control, aircraft security, aviation rules and regulations, airport maintenance and security service. Also possess good knowledge on bomb disposal and its investigation, hostage crisis situation and counter terrorist operation. An excellent instructor always willing to share the knowledge and experience knows finance, management, staffing and training. Action and result oriented person.

Ms. Shanta is responsible for Human Resources Management in Millennium Certis Security Bangladesh Ltd. for last 7 years. She has a total work experience of around 11 years in Human Resources, Administration, Color consultancy & Business Development in many Multinational Companies. Prior to joining Millennium Certis she was in The Berger Paints Bangladesh Ltd. Ms. Shanta has a MSS in Sociology.
